Memory is a pretty weird thing. This is becoming more apparent to me as I've stayed in the same state, and for the most part, lived in the same house for over 19 years. Sometimes I wonder about how memory transitions itself to the next memory, like the changing of seasons, from Fall to Winter, or whatever. As the weather changes, and the scenery remains in its existence, I often wonder if change manifests itself through the course of time.

I work in downtown minneapolis at the guthrie theater, one of the few Guthrie theaters in the United States. It's a large, post-modern, ominous looking building. Dark blue / black and has a what they call an "endless bridge" which is a place for patrons to get a view of the Mississippi river from what is literally a bridge jutting out from the side of the building like an extended arm.

Anyway, I take a 15 minute walk along the Mississippi river from the bus stop to the theatre, and back. Recently, it's been cold as hell in Minnesota (multiple wind chill advisories with calculated windchill temperatures of -35 degrees F. Just last week it was so cold that the river was misting up a large condensation of some sort and the mist was pushing down the river with a wind. It was all very cinematic and frosty looking. It seems everyday I walk by the river more or less of some of the river is frozen or un frozen, constantly changing in accordance to the temperature.

I guess what this entry is about is missing the warm weather. Spring, come on! I want to get my bike out again.
